Terri Schmidt

Hello!  My name is Terri Schmidt and I am a certified Montessori teacher. I love being a Montessori teacher because of the hands-on approach and because each child gets to be at the center of their learning journey. In our Montessori classroom children spend time learning the skills they need to explore their interests and the content they need to understand the world around them.

Our E1 classrooms are multigrade with children in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade. The opportunity to stay with the same teacher for three years is a unique opportunity for each child to be deeply understood and supported in their growth. I love working with my students and partnering with their most important teachers, their family members! Working together, we are able to see and meet the needs of each child. 

When I’m not teaching, I love spending time with my husband and two sons. I also love to go on walks with friends or to eat peanut butter cups while reading a good book.
