Nyob zoo! Hola! Hello! 

I teach English Learners at Nokomis Montessori North, and I work with both E2 and Children's House classes. I have been teaching for St. Paul Public Schools since 2004, and I love our schools and our students! My personal teaching philosophy is "Education is not the filling of a pail, but the lighting of a fire." ~ William Butler Yeats. Our students have the capcaity to be phenomenal critical thinkers, and I want to foster that analysis and questioning about society. 

My goal is for all students to be excited about learning and develop a growth mindset. We achieve this by asking questions, expanding our horizons, and working to make sense of the world. I am so happy to be working at a Montessori school. I believe that the Montessori philosophy, "follow the child," is a very healthy environment for language growth.
