Kat Johnson

Greetings! My name is Kat. I have worked as a Children’s House teacher at Nokomis North for the past two years. Prior to joining the Nokomis community I worked as a substitute teacher for SPPS and completed student teaching at JJ Hill Montessori.

My greatest joy as a Montessori teacher is providing children with opportunities to develop independence. In the classroom environment, children have the ability to pursue individual interests and explore foundational concepts through concrete, hands-on learning materials. As stated by Maria Montessori, ”The hand is the instrument of the mind."

I am proud to call Saint Paul my home and enjoy running and walking by the river with my husband, Brady and our dog, Rebel.
