School Climate

At Nokomis Montesorri North Campus we strive for a healthy, kind and caring school environment. Through our use of the Montessori method, we encouarge students to learn at their own pace in multi-grade classrooms, independently cultivating their interests and natural abilities. Teachers help students choose their work in carefully prepared, peaceful environments; students use beautifully designed hands-on materials to practice and understand skills and concepts.

Nokomis Montessori is also implementing Restorative Practices, a way of being, to create a school climate that welcomes all humans for their gifts through community building, the circle process and repairing harm circles. Learn more on our Restorative Practices page.
