Principal

I am honored to join the Nokomis Montessori North team as your new Principal. Most recently, I served as the Interim Principal at L’Etoile du Nord French Immersion, and prior to that, I was the Middle School Assistant Principal at Capitol Hill Gifted and Talented Magnet School. It is with great enthusiasm and optimism that I look forward to working in partnership with the Nokomis North community.

Throughout my career with Saint Paul Public Schools, I have been fortunate to serve in a variety of roles—including as a science teacher at Highland Park Senior High School and in leadership positions within our summer session programs. These experiences have shaped my belief in the power of inclusive, student-centered education, and I’m excited to continue growing in my leadership journey with SPPS.

While I am deeply committed to my work in education, my most cherished role is that of a parent. My partner and I have a busy, vibrant household with seven children ranging in age from 11 to 21. Four of our children are currently pursuing post-secondary degrees, and we also have a 7th grader and two 5th graders attending our neighborhood schools. Our family enjoys an active lifestyle filled with sports—especially soccer, hockey, and football—along with outdoor adventures like kayaking and camping. We also love traveling to spend time with extended family whenever we can.

Although my primary focus during the school day will be supporting our students and staff, I truly value open communication with families and community members. I warmly welcome your questions, feedback, and ideas. Please don’t hesitate to reach out by phone, email, or stop by for a visit.
